For this year’s 4th of July I loaded the bike and headed down to Albany, Oregon to visit my Dad. The day began with a twelve mile bike ride along the nearby country roads, passing by many farms and fields.

Afterwards we drove in to downtown Albany to visit The Albany Brass Ring, a community volunteer restoration project of a vintage 1909 carousel. The work being done there is amazing.

Before heading back for lunch we stopped by the local American Legion classic car show. My favorite car at the show was a 1960 Nash Rambler Wagon.

It was a fun and relaxing day; a great 4th of July!
